It won’t be long until the leaves begin to change and the temperatures start to cool. If you’re planning a fall break staycation or a quick getaway to DeSoto County, Mississippi, we’re here to help make sure it’s a fun one. 


Cedar Hill Farm
If you’re looking for the perfect family friendly activity this fall, then visit Cedar Hill Farm’s Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maize (Sept. 30-Nov 4) for festive photos, to pick a pumpkin or to explore the corn maze. Prefer a good fright? Check out the farm’s thrill-inducing Haunted Farm (Sept. 29-Oct. 29) which includes a Haunted Hayride, Trail of Terror, the Haunted Barn-Sensturbia, Flashlight Corn Maize and the Zombie Target Shoot.

Golf

Fall Festivals
On October 13-14, the DeSoto Film Festival is set to take place at the DeSoto Arts Institute. The event is family friendly and boasts films from independent creators. Fall Festival at the Snowden House is back this year on Oct. 14, too. Shop local vendors and dig into fall treats the entire family will love. 

Enjoy the outdoors
Take in Mother Nature’s beauty at one of the many parks in DeSoto County. Ride your bike down Johnson Creek Greenway or set up a picnic at Central Park in Southaven. If you’re looking for a playground for the kids, head to Olive Branch City Park. It also features tennis courts and a dog park.
