Hernando Farmers Market
When: Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., April-October
Where: Courthouse Square
The Hernando Farmers Market is a Mississippi Certified Market and one of the largest open-air markets in the state that encourages and promotes access to fresh local foods. From locally grown fruits and vegetables to milk, pork, cage-free eggs, and canned and preserved items – there's something for everyone. Throughout the season, visitors can enjoy live music, free fitness classes, and specialized monthly occurrences like the Children’s Day Power of Produce (POP) Program that encourages kids to eat healthy and Senior Days, where mature adults receive a $5 token to spend at the market.
Southaven Farmers Market
When: Monday - Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., April-October
Where: Hwy 51 & Main St.
If you live in Southaven or are just enjoying a weekend in the area, head to the Southaven Farmers Market. It features fresh fruits, vegetables and more grown right here in the Magnolia State.
Olive Branch Old Towne Farmers Market
When: Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon, June-September
Where: 9200 Pigeon Roost Rd. (City Hall parking lot)
Olive Branch Old Towne Farmers Market features fresh eggs, canned items, fresh ground coffee, baked goods and craft vendors. Be sure to check out Al’s Backporch Skins for homemade pork skins and soft cracklins. Rumor has it, they’re available in a variety of flavors.
