Upcoming March events in DeSoto County

Has spring fever hit you yet? With warmer temps around the corner, DeSoto County, Mississippi, is heating up with plenty to do to pack your itinerary. Check out these upcoming events in March:

Young theatergoers can delight in the family friendly production of “Into The Woods” at Kudzu Playhouse in Hernando. The show opens on March 3 and runs through March 12. Tickets can be purchased here.

The DeSoto Times-Tribune is hosting its inaugural Food Truck Event on Wednesday, March 8, outside its offices in Nesbit. Expect various food options, a battle of the bands, a silent auction and more.

Brussels Bonsai.jpgIf your patio is in need of a greenery refresh, head over to Brussel’s Bonsai in Olive Branch on Saturday, March 11 for their annual spring preview sale. Visitors can enjoy 20% off all merchandise, a first look at new trees for spring, and complimentary burgers and hot dogs for lunch.

The fun begins at 5 p.m. with green beer specials, games, music, prizes and food from OB Pizza Co, Side Street Burgers and local food trucks.

From sports and shopping to singing and skating – Landers Center in Southaven delivers on the fun this month:

  • NBA G League team Memphis Hustle hosts the Austin Spurs (March 4 and 7) and Rio Grande Valley Vipers (March 17 and 18). 
  • The Winter Jam Tour rolls through town on Sunday, March 5, featuring artists We The Kingdom, Jeremy Camp, Andy Mineo, Anne Wilson and more.
  • The kids are in for a treat March 9-12 when Disney On Ice: Into the Magic brings their favorite animated characters to life.
  • Shop till you drop at the Southern Flea Market when it returns March 18 and 19.
  • The Memphis Americans men’s and women’s indoor soccer teams battle it out against the Tampa Bay Strikers on March 25 and 26.
