17 Apr / 2024

DeSoto County, Mississippi, has a plethora of Mexican restaurants and cantinas to help you celebrate Cinco de Mayo, so come hungry (and thirsty!) on May 5, y’all. Here are a few restaurants to put on your radar.

Looking for a spicy good time? Maria’s Cantina is known for its signature margaritas, Tex-Mex flavor and endless fun. Plus, if you’re lucky, you can enjoy a spot on their coveted patio packed with misting fans – perfect for a hot Mississippi day!

The restaurant’s rooftop patio is the perfect spot for a summer selfie. And, its talented bartenders cruise around the restaurants with a mixology cart, so be ready for a cocktail-making show and a delicious sip.

A little further South in Hernando, you’ll find several special places to get your Cinco de Mayo fill. For starters, you can find the small but mighty Blue Agave Mexican restaurant, as well as Guadalajara Grill and La Siesta.

If you’re traveling to Olive Branch, Cinco de Mayo Bar & Grill is a must. It’s the only place where you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo all year long! The newly opened Esmeralda’s Taco Shop offers a variety of different tacos, including tasty Birria and classic Street Tacos.
