Where to watch Fourth of July fireworks

Pack your picnic basket, lawn chairs and blanket! It’s time to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with fireworks and more in DeSoto County, Mississippi.

Grand Fireworks Display & Festival (Horn Lake)On Thursday, July 2, Latimer Lakes Park in Horn Lake is the place to gather to enjoy live music, to shop local vendors and to take part in a variety of activities. The event begins at 7 p.m., and fireworks start at 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring a picnic dinner.

Light the Way Freedom Fest (Olive Branch)
Olive Branch is set to host its celebration on Friday, July 3, at the City Park. The whole family can enjoy FREE live music, food trucks, a kids’ zone, inflatables, games and more. Listen to your favorite Christian artists like Anne Wilson, Jamie MacDonald, Band Reeves and Daniel Spriggs, too! The event starts at 3 p.m., live music begins at 5 p.m., and the night will end with a fireworks show. 

Children’s Bicycle Parade (Hernando)
The Hernando Optimist Club is hosting its annual bike parade on Friday, July 3. Kiddos are encouraged to decorate non-motorized bikes, trikes and scooters in patriotic decor and join the celebratory ride down Center Street. Riders should line up at Hernando Baptist Church by 7 p.m., before the parade begins at 7:30 p.m.

Fireworks Extravaganza & Festival (Southaven)
Southaven’s Fireworks Extravaganza & Festival at BankPlus Amphitheater promises a spectacular evening on Saturday, July 4. The family fun includes a kids’ play zone, food vendors and live music from Kevin and Bethany Paige. Gates open at 5 p.m., tunes begin at 7 p.m., and fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.

Front Porch Fireworks & Festival (Hernando)
Head to the Hernando Civic Center Ballfields to celebrate America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, July 4. The festivities begin at 7 p.m., with food vendors and family activities, and a fireworks display starts at 9 p.m.
