It's officially farmers market season, and you're in luck because DeSoto County, Mississippi, has two amazing spots for you to check out!
Hernando Farmers Market
The Hernando Farmers Market presented by Sky Lake Construction, is held Saturdays through October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the historic town square. This beloved market has been around for years and is one even Southern Living recommends you visit! There, you will find a ton of homemade and homegrown goodies.
Locally grown fruits and vegetables
Fresh milk and meats
Pasture-raised eggs
Local honey
Canned and preserved items
Nursery plants
Baked goods

Throughout the season you can enjoy live music, free fitness classes and special events during market hours. Children’s Day sponsored by DeSoto & Senatobia Children’s Clinic is held the last Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. The first 100 kids to arrive receive a free book, $5 Power of Produce (POP) Bucks to spend on fresh fruits and veggies, and the chance to participate in hands-on activities. Senior Day sponsored by DeSoto County Farm Bureau Federation is the second Saturday of each month. The first 100 seniors receive $5 in farmers market tokens to spend with vendors.

Olive Branch Farmers Market
The Olive Branch Farmers Market season is back starting Saturdays in June! Located in the parking lot of City Hall at 9200 Pigeon Roost Road, you can shop the goods listed below from 8 a.m. till noon.
