DeSoto County, Mississippi, is flourishing and new businesses are popping up around the area. To keep you in the loop, we have compiled a list of the latest additions to the area and a few that are soon to come!

Milanos Pizza.jpgMilano’s NY Pizza
This NY-style pizza spot in Lewisburg turned on the ovens in July and features an extensive selection of Italian dishes for lunch, dinner and even breakfast. Milano’s also partnered with Southaven’s Beans & Leaves for coffee service and a signature Italian soda. Check out Milano’s Instagram and Facebook for information about the latest and greatest offerings and live music performances happening on Fridays and Saturdays, too!

Georgia Blue.jpgGeorgia Blue
Georgia Blue, the Mississippi hotspot with locations across the state, recently opened at Southaven’s Silo Square and has been booming ever since. This two-story restaurant and bar hosts local music artists throughout the week. Guests can dine on Southern-inspired dishes for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, or head upstairs to sip on a signature cocktail and enjoy live entertainment.

Mississippi Old Town Taco Co.
The extremely popular food truck will be expanding to a brick-and-mortar location once the Old Towne Parish project is complete. In the meantime, you can catch the food truck version on Tuesdays at Mississippi Ale House or at Frutanas the rest of the week. If you love music and tacos, you can find Mississippi Old Town Taco serving in BankPlus Amphitheater’s Premium Lounge during select concerts. If you want to learn more about the future home of the Old Town Taco, check out episode 1 of our Discovering DeSoto podcast here.

Golden Gator
This two-story Cajun-inspired restaurant is set to open in the Old Towne Parish lifestyle and entertainment district that is nearing completion. With a 40-foot bar occupying the main floor and upscale dining taking the second floor, Golden Gator is expected to be a very popular establishment, especially on weekends. Listen to developer Cliff McLemore share the inside scoop on Old Towne Parish in the first episode of our Discovering DeSoto podcast.

Sippin Silo Wine Bar
Opening this fall at Silo Square, Sippin Silo Wine Bar is the perfect new addition to the booming Southaven development. This unique establishment is expected to be a self-service wine bar with 24 wines on tap. Sippin Silo will also boast a light menu featuring charcuterie, flatbreads and bruschetta flights. For those who may not enjoy vino, specialty cocktails will be available.

There’s so much to enjoy here at the top of the ‘Sip, and we are excited to add even more in the coming months! We hope to see you soon.
